Director of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism organization of Khaf city in Khorasan Razavi Province said that a 12-member European group visited historical sites and attractions of the city. Mahmoud Ba-aqideh said that the tourists visited historical sites of wind mills, mosques, schools as well as a photo and handicrafts exhibition in the city. He said that most of group members were familiar with the sites via the internet. In an opinion poll from the tourists, they all expressed satisfaction for facilities and people’s hospitality.This is the fifth European tour, which visited sites in Khaf since beginning of this year. Khorasan Razavi has 1,498 registered historical sites. Worth mentioning is that the World Tourism Day was held on Sept. 2. International tourist arrivals grew by 4.3 percent in 2014 to 1.133 billion and generated US $1.5 trillion in export earnings.
