Henna poweder has always been used. Henna plant has not only had make-up and hygienic uses, but also it has had a ceremonial feature and has been utilized in joyous ceremonies. Henna leaves need hot and humid climate to grow and hot and dry climate to be pulverized. Henna is planted in bulk mainly in Kerman and Sistan and Balouchestan provinces in Iran. Yazd has been an appropriate place to pulverize henna leaves. Mazari is the profession allocated to pulverize henna leaves. In early Qajar period, Mazari had been mentioned as an active profession. Also, Amin Dar Al-Zarb (1320-1322 lunar year) documents prove Mazari to be a profession in the mentioned period.
